Certification Requirements for Parental Consent

Age Check Certification Scheme
28/03/2022

These Certification Requirements for Parental Consent Trust Service Providers set out the requirements for providers of parental consent services within the EU Consent community of interest.

The term ‘parental consent’ is used as short-hand throughout this document, but actually refers to the process by which a person, who may be a parent or may be some other person or organisation with legal responsibility for a child, exercises a task of giving or withdrawing consent for that child to do something, not do something, or access goods, content or services.

Certification is conducted against the technical requirements of the euCONSENTcommunity of interest. As initial assessment, surveillance and recertification is carried out using a sampling process, certification does not guarantee the performance of any parental consent product or service.
