euCONSENT is a distributed architecture system based on eIDAS principles and core infrastructure in order to achieve its goals. One of the main objectives is the secure information exchange between nodes which will be achieved by applying eIDAS security standards. Each Age Verification Provider (AVP) should implement both an eIDAS Service Provider and an eIDAS Node. Both will be used for exchanging euCONSENT relevant information offering each user a seamless transition between different Age Verification Providers.
Please note that this initial version of the Software Architecture Document will be further extended in D4.1, in which the functionality for Parent Consent will be added. During the implementation of the euCONSENT network, and as we get a better understanding of the technical challenges of the new system, some aspects of the software architecture might change. In that case, this document will be updated accordingly, and a new version with all the amendments will be submitted.
