Online Children’s Rights:
Putting interoperable age verification and parental consent into live operation.
Athens & Online
October 31st 2023
Please join us online, or in person in Athens, for our third annual conference, this year focusing on Online Children’s Rights: Putting interoperable age verification and parental consent into live operation.
The conference will consider the latest developments in law and regulation requiring online age assurance and parental consent, including the EU Digital Services Act, US state laws, and the UK Online Safety Act. It will look forward to Phase II of the euCONSENT programme; a project which is developing European-wide infrastructure to facilitate interoperable Age Verification and Parental Consent mechanisms and delivered a successful largescale pilot last year. The results of the project have been donated to a new non-profit organisation – euCONSENT ASBL which is preparing to put this new network of cooperating age verification providers serving major platforms into live operation next year.
There will also be contributions from charities, regulators and several of these global platforms.
The conference will run from 1pm – 5:30pm Athens time (11am – 3:30pm GMT, Noon – 4:30pm CET, 8am – 12:30pm EST).
Please register here to attend online or in-person.
Conference venue is National Hellenic Research Foundation Leof. Vasileos Konstantinou 48, Athina 116 35, Greece
