Online Child’s Rights, Age Verification and Parental Consent: Delivering the Balance
25 May 2022
Please join us in Athens or online, for the second conference to focus exclusively on Online Child’s Rights, Age Verification and Parental Consent: Delivering the Balance.
The conference will hear how a project team from across Europe responded to the findings of a major suite of academic and primary research in the field, presented to our first conference last September.
Researchers from LSE, Exeter, Leiden Universities and Revealing Reality have supervised as the euCONSENT programme turned their work into a practical solution – a network that allows independent age verification and parental consent providers to re-use one another’s checks, making the user experience far less disruptive
There will also be contributions from EU-wide charities and several of the global platforms which are currently seeking to comply with the latest developments in EU law in these fields looking at how this solution may address their challenges.
Objectives
- Raise awareness of euCONSENT
- Disseminate the quantitative and qualitative findings from our first large scale pilot
- Demonstrate the system, and explain changes being made in response to the findings from the pilot
- Explain how other providers can become certified to join the network, and the basis of its ongoing governance and operations
- Operate transparently
- Bring together interested stakeholders in this domain
If you wish to attend in person, please select the “Attending in person” in the registration process.
Thanks to Meta for supporting The AVPA in making this accessible as a hybrid conference.
The Electra Metropolis Hotel, where the conference will take place (Mitropoleos 15, Athina 105 57, Grecia), is offering a 10% discount for all euCONSENT attendees if you book direct.
